न जानीमो वयं नाथ त्वत्प्रतापभयार्दितः । कुसृत्याथ कया विद्वान्नष्टो वैश्वानरः पुरात्
na jānīmo vayaṃ nātha tvatpratāpabhayārditaḥ | kusṛtyātha kayā vidvānnaṣṭo vaiśvānaraḥ purāt
存じませぬ、主よ。御威光への恐れに打たれ、いかなる邪な道、いかなる因縁によって、賢きヴァイシュヴァーナラ（聖なる火）が昔より都から失せたのか、申し上げられませぬ。
