そこでは修行者たちは一切の執着から解き放たれ、解脱して所有なく、ただ言葉・心・行いの制御という杖の富を備え、まったく欲望を持たなかった。

Tirtha: Kāśī (Avimukta)
Type: kshetra
Listener: ṛṣis/śaunaka-ādi (frame tradition)
Scene: A serene Kāśī riverside āśrama: ascetics with minimal belongings, seated in meditation, some reciting softly, others walking mindfully; the atmosphere is quiet, luminous, and disciplined.
True renunciation is inner restraint and freedom from clinging, not mere outward abandonment.
Kāśī’s renown as a liberating sacred region is echoed through the presence of genuine renunciants.
No ritual is detailed; the verse praises the ascetic discipline of speech, mind, and action.
