霊的な光輝を求める最上の二度生まれ(ドヴィジャ)は、女が食している時にそれを見つめてはならない。また、まず祖霊(ピトリ)と神々(デーヴァ)を満たしてからでなければ、いかなる時も新しく調えた食を口にしてはならない。

Tejas is protected by modesty and reverence: honor the divine and the ancestors first, and keep disciplined senses in daily life.
Kāśī is the setting (Kāśīkhaṇḍa), where ancestor rites and daily purity are treated as especially potent.
