सुलोचनापि सा कन्या प्रेक्षेतास्यं न कस्यचित् । सुश्रवा अपि सा बाला नादत्ते कस्यचिद्वचः
sulocanāpi sā kanyā prekṣetāsyaṃ na kasyacit | suśravā api sā bālā nādatte kasyacidvacaḥ
たとえ美しい眼を持つ乙女であっても、彼女は誰の顔も見つめない。たとえ名声高き娘であっても、誰の求婚の言葉も受け入れなかった。
