Transliteration

janakaḥ śubhatithyādau videśagamanāpaham | ṣaṣṭhe'nnaprāśanaṃmāsi na kṛtaṃ vidhipūrvakam

Translation

吉祥なる時に――（異国への旅立ちを退けると伝えられる儀礼であるのに）――父はなお、六か月目の初食の儀（アンナプラーシャナ）を正しい作法で行わなかった。
