Skanda
Tirtha: Kāśī (as the integrative kṣetra)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Interlocutor of the Kāśī discourse
Scene: A sage-like ‘mahāmati’ stands between Śiva and Viṣṇu, seeing them as one essence; behind, Kāśī’s ghāṭas and temple spires suggest the lived unity of worship in the city.
Highest devotion transcends sectarian division; seeing unity between Hari and Śiva is praised as great-minded Śaiva realization.
No single site is named in this verse; within the chapter’s Kāśī-Gaṅgā setting, it supports the broader Kāśī dharma ethos.
No ritual is prescribed; it defines spiritual qualification: non-dual reverence toward Hari and Śiva.
