गतास्ते वृत्तिभाजः स्युर्नान्ये वृत्त्यभिभागिनः । तत्र नैव गता ये वै चातुर्विद्यत्वमागताः
gatāste vṛttibhājaḥ syurnānye vṛttyabhibhāginaḥ | tatra naiva gatā ye vai cāturvidyatvamāgatāḥ
そこへ赴いた者たちは、定められた生業の分け前を正当に受ける者となり、他の者がそれに与ることは許されなかった。だが「チャートゥルヴィディヤ（四学）」の位に達した者は、まったくそこへ行かなかった。
