brāhmaṇā ūcuḥ | vayaṃ prātargamiṣyāmo dharmāraṇyaṃ sunirmalam | na vismāryā vayaṃ tāta kṣamyatāṃ kṣamyatāmiti
Brāhmaṇas
Tirtha: Dharmāraṇya
Type: kshetra
Scene: Brāhmaṇas in añjali at a forest shrine, speaking softly: ‘Do not forget us; forgive us’; the first hint of dawn at the horizon while lamps still glow.
Humility and seeking forgiveness (kṣamā) are presented as virtues that accompany pilgrimage and devotion.
Dharmāraṇya is explicitly praised as “sunirmala,” a supremely pure sacred place.
None directly; the verse highlights dawn-departure for pilgrimage and the ethic of asking forgiveness.
