ते पुण्यास्ते पुण्यकृतो ये वसंति कलौ नराः । धर्मारण्ये रामदेव सर्वकिल्बिषनाशने
te puṇyāste puṇyakṛto ye vasaṃti kalau narāḥ | dharmāraṇye rāmadeva sarvakilbiṣanāśane
まことに福徳あり、功徳を積む者とは、カリの時代にダルマアラニヤに住まう人々である。おおラーマ・デーヴァよ、汝は一切の罪を滅する者。
Vasiṣṭha (contextual; addressing Rāma)
Tirtha: Dharmāraṇya
Type: kshetra
Listener: Rāma (addressed as Rāma-deva)
Scene: Pilgrims and residents in Kali-yuga finding sanctuary in Dharmāraṇya; a divine presence of Rāma-deva as pāpa-nāśaka blessing the forest-tīrtha, with devotees performing simple worship and living dharmically.
In Kali-yuga, association with an exalted tīrtha (even by residence) is portrayed as a powerful means of accruing puṇya and dissolving sin.
Dharmāraṇya, explicitly called ‘destroyer of all sins’ (sarva-kilbiṣa-nāśana).
Residence/dwelling in Dharmāraṇya is praised; no further ritual is specified in this verse.
