vyāsa uvāca | sādhusādhu mahāprājña dharmaputra yudhiṣṭhira | yasya saṃkīrtanānnūnaṃ sarvapāpaiḥ pramucyate
Vyāsa
Tirtha: Unnamed saras/tīrtha in Dharmāraṇyaka
Type: kund
Listener: Yudhiṣṭhira
Scene: Vyāsa blesses Yudhiṣṭhira’s question, raising a hand in approval; a subtle aura around the sage; the lake’s sanctity suggested through light over the water—emphasis on spoken word as purifier.
Even remembrance and praise of a holy tīrtha can purify—saṃkīrtana itself is a dharmic purifier.
The same renowned sarovara of Dharmāraṇya, whose praise is said to destroy sins.
Saṃkīrtana—glorifying/reciting the tīrtha’s greatness—is presented as a means of purification.
