kanyādānaṃ ca yaḥ kuryādasminkṣetre ca putraka | udvāhaparipūtātmā brahmaloke mahīyate
また、この聖域において、愛しき子よ、kanyādāna(娘を施し嫁がせる供養)を行う者は、婚礼の儀によって魂が清められ、Brahmalokaにて尊ばれる。
Sūta (deduced)
Tirtha: Ravikṣetra
Type: kshetra
Listener: Putraka / dear child (as addressed)
Scene: A marriage procession within Ravikṣetra: the father performs kanyādāna with sacred fire, priest reciting mantras; Sūrya shines overhead; the scene emphasizes purity and solemn joy; a subtle vision of Brahmaloka as a luminous realm above.
Householder duties, when performed in a sanctified setting and with dharmic intent, become powerful sources of merit.
The same ‘field’ (kṣetra) of the passage—Ravikṣetra associated with Ravikuṇḍa/Bakulārka in Dharmāraṇya.
Kanyādāna (the charitable/dharmic act of giving a daughter in marriage) performed within the kṣetra.
