Transliteration

bāṃdhaveṣu ciraṃ vāso na nārīṇāṃ yaśaskaraḥ | manoratho bāṃdhavānāṃ bhāryā pitṛgṛhe sthitā

Translation

妻が長く自らの親族のもとに住むことは、名誉を高めるとは見なされない。むしろ、妻が父の家に落ち着いているとき、それは親族の願いとなる。
