Transliteration

dvijabhaktisamāyuktā brahmaṇyāste taponvitāḥ | purāṇajñāḥ sadācārā dhārmikā bahmabhojakāḥ

Translation

彼らは二度生まれ（dvija）への敬虔を具え、婆羅門のダルマに帰依し、苦行（tapas）を修していた。プラーナに通じ、行い正しく、義にかなって、ブラーフマナに食を施す者であった。
