गतः पितामहं सोमो वेपमानोऽमृतांशुमान् । पद्मयोने नमस्तुभ्यं वेदगर्भ नमोऽस्तु ते । शरणं त्वां प्रसन्नोऽस्मि पाहि मां कमलासन
gataḥ pitāmahaṃ somo vepamāno'mṛtāṃśumān | padmayone namastubhyaṃ vedagarbha namo'stu te | śaraṇaṃ tvāṃ prasanno'smi pāhi māṃ kamalāsana
甘露のごとき光を放つソーマは震えながら祖父ブラフマーのもとへ赴いた。「蓮華より生まれし御方よ、礼拝いたします。ヴェーダの胎なる御方よ、礼拝いたします。われはあなたに帰依します。どうか慈悲を垂れ、守りたまえ、蓮座の主よ。」
