nandīśvara uvāca | na cāhaṃ kāmaye vittaṃ na cāhaṃ kulasantatim | muktvā na kāmaye kāmaṃ tava pādāmbujātparam
Nandīśvara
Listener: Mahādeva (Śiva)
Scene: Nandīśvara, hands folded, speaks a vow of renunciation before Śiva; the focus is on the lotus-feet of the Lord, with minimal worldly symbols.
The highest boon is not worldly gain but unwavering devotion culminating in liberation and refuge at Śiva’s feet.
Not a single site; the verse expresses the inner fruit of Revā tīrtha-yātrā—vairāgya and Śiva-bhakti.
No external rite is prescribed; the teaching is the vow of non-attachment and choosing mokṣa/bhakti as the boon.
