Narrator (contextual Purāṇic speaker within Revā Khaṇḍa)
Tirtha: Revā-tīrtha (Narmadā)
Type: ghat
Listener: Implied royal listener (continuation of ‘māhīpate’ context)
Scene: A pilgrim at the river-tīrtha offering a small plate of akṣata, bilva fruits, badara, iṅguda, and sesame; the scene emphasizes humble devotion and the promise of akṣaya fruit.
Even modest, traditional offerings become inexhaustibly fruitful when performed in a tīrtha praised by the Purāṇas.
The same Revā (Narmadā) tīrtha of Adhyāya 59, renowned for granting akṣaya merit.
Offer akṣata, badara, bilva, iṅguda, or sesame as part of rites at the tīrtha to gain akṣaya results.
