शबर उवाच । कारणं नास्ति मे किंचिन्न दुःखं किंचिदेव तु । संसारभयभीतोऽहं नान्या बुद्धिः प्रवर्तते
śabara uvāca | kāraṇaṃ nāsti me kiṃcinna duḥkhaṃ kiṃcideva tu | saṃsārabhayabhīto'haṃ nānyā buddhiḥ pravartate
シャバラは言った。「私には特別な理由も、定まった悲しみもない。ただ輪廻（サンサーラ）への恐れに震えているのだ。ほかの決意は心に起こらない。」
