pūjayanta idaṃ devāḥ pūjitā guravaśca taiḥ | narmadā pūjitā tena bhagavāṃśca maheśvaraḥ
Deductive (Revākhaṇḍa narrative voice; traditionally Sūta/Lomaharṣaṇa conveying the Māhātmya)
Tirtha: Narmadā (Revā)
Type: kshetra
Scene: A devotee reverently worships a palm-leaf manuscript of the Narmadā-carita on a low altar; behind, the river flows with ghāṭa steps; above, devas and gurus receive the offering, while Maheśvara appears in subtle radiance acknowledging the act.
Venerating sacred scripture and its teaching is treated as veneration of devas, gurus, Narmadā, and ultimately Śiva.
Narmadā (Revā) as a living tīrtha, linked directly to worship of Maheśvara.
Pūjā/ सम्मान—honoring the text/teaching as an act of worship.
