ईश्वरानुग्रहात्सर्वं तत्र कोटिगुणं भवेत् । यस्मादनक्षरं रूपं प्रणवस्येह भारत
īśvarānugrahātsarvaṃ tatra koṭiguṇaṃ bhavet | yasmādanakṣaraṃ rūpaṃ praṇavasyeha bhārata
主の恩寵により、そこでなされる一切はコーティ倍に増大する、バーラタよ。なぜならその地には、プラナヴァ(Praṇava)すなわちオーム(Oṃ)の不滅の姿が現前しているからである。
Mārkaṇḍeya (continuing narration to Yudhiṣṭhira)
Tirtha: Amareśvara (Praṇava-kṣetra aspect)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Bhārata
Scene: A visionary depiction of Oṃ hovering as a radiant, indestructible glyph above the Amareśvara liṅga; pilgrims’ offerings (flowers, water, lamps) multiply into countless replicas, symbolizing koṭi-guṇa merit by grace.
Divine grace magnifies spiritual effort; acts done at a sanctified site bear vastly increased merit because the sacred reality (Praṇava) is especially present there.
A tīrtha in the Revā (Narmadā) region associated with Viśalyā, where the Praṇava’s imperishable presence is praised.
No specific rite is prescribed here; the verse explains the principle that deeds performed at that site yield multiplied results by Īśvara’s grace.
