ततः पञ्चोपचारांश्च कृत्वा पूजां समापयेत् । नातः परतरः कश्चिद्विधिः पञ्चोपचारकात्
tataḥ pañcopacārāṃśca kṛtvā pūjāṃ samāpayet | nātaḥ parataraḥ kaścidvidhiḥ pañcopacārakāt
その後、五つの供養(パンチョーパチャーラ)を行い終えたなら、礼拝を結了すべきである。この五供の作法に勝る儀軌はない。

Sthala Purana: General ritual instruction (vidhi) rather than a site legend; applicable to Śiva worship across kṣetras, including Jyotirliṅga temples where pañcopacāra is a minimal daily standard.
Significance: Teaches an accessible, non-elitist minimum pūjā: pañcopacāra as sufficient and 'unsurpassed' when done with devotion—supporting regular practice for householders and pilgrims.

It teaches that sincere devotion expressed through the essential five offerings is complete in itself; elaborate ritual is secondary to bhakti and right intention toward Pati (Shiva).
It supports Saguna worship through the Linga by affirming a complete, accessible procedure—pañcopacāra—by which the devotee can reverently serve Shiva without needing more complex rites.
Conclude Shiva puja after pañcopacāra offerings (commonly gandha, puṣpa, dhūpa, dīpa, naivedya), maintaining focused remembrance of Shiva—often accompanied by japa of the Panchakshara mantra (Om Namaḥ Śivāya).
