小さきピンディカー(piṇḍikā)とともに包み、以前のとおりに横たえ置け。次いで前方に蓮華を描き、その花弁の上に順次に従って行ずべし。
Suta Goswami (narrating the Vāyavīyasaṃhitā teaching as received in the Shiva Purana tradition)
Tattva Level: pasha
It emphasizes disciplined, sequential worship—outer order (krama) mirrors inner order, training the devotee’s mind to rest steadily on Lord Shiva (Pati) while loosening bondage (pāśa).
The verse gives procedural guidance for a concrete ritual arrangement (placing an item and drawing a lotus mandala), which supports Saguna Shiva worship by providing a stable sacred form and layout for focused devotion.
A mandala-based puja sequence: place the prepared item as previously instructed, draw a lotus in front, and perform the worship/placement in order across the petals—supporting mantra-japa and steady contemplation.
