Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Type: stotra
Role: liberating
It highlights Shiva’s anugraha (saving grace): the Lord responds to sincere bhakti by completing the devotee’s inner aim, revealing a luminous saguṇa form that guides the soul (paśu) toward liberation under the Lord (Pati).
Though Shiva is ultimately nirguṇa, the verse emphasizes saguṇa upāsanā—Shiva appearing with attributes (five faces, ten arms) to grant boons and spiritual uplift. This complements Liṅga worship, where the formless Absolute is approached through a sacred, worshipable symbol.
A practical takeaway is dhyāna on Shiva’s pañcavaktra form while repeating the Pañcākṣarī mantra (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), coupled with devotional prayer for the purification and right fulfillment of one’s manoratha.
