अग्रेण कुण्डाभिमुखीं किंचिदुत्सृज्य मेखलाम् । नोत्सेधनियमो वेद्याः सा मार्दी वाथ सैकती
agreṇa kuṇḍābhimukhīṃ kiṃcidutsṛjya mekhalām | notsedhaniyamo vedyāḥ sā mārdī vātha saikatī
メーカラー（聖なる帯）は、クンダ（聖火の炉穴）に向けて、わずかに前方へずらして置き、前に少しの空きを残すべきである。その高さ・盛り上がりには定まった規則はなく、土でも砂でも作ってよい。
