It teaches that outer order in worship—maṇḍala, proper honor to Parameśvara, and consecrated placement—mirrors inner discipline, making the devotee fit for Śiva’s grace (anugraha) that loosens pāśa (bondage).
The maṇḍala and pañca-kalaśa arrangement supports formal linga-pūjā to Saguna Śiva, where Śiva is approached through sanctified forms and ritual placements while remembering Him as the supreme Pati beyond all forms.
It indicates a structured pūjā-vidhi: draw the maṇḍala, worship Śiva, then perform kalaśa-sthāpana (pots in the directions and centre), typically accompanied by mantra-japa such as the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya).
