ततः प्रभृति देवो ऽसौ न प्रसूते प्रजाः शुभाः । ऊर्ध्वरेताः स्थितः स्थाणुर्यावदाभूतसंप्लवम्
tataḥ prabhṛti devo 'sau na prasūte prajāḥ śubhāḥ | ūrdhvaretāḥ sthitaḥ sthāṇuryāvadābhūtasaṃplavam
その時より、かのデーヴァはもはや吉祥なる子孫を生み出さなかった。堅固なるスーターヌ(Sthāṇu)のごとく、彼はウールドゥヴァレータ(ūrdhvareta)—生殖の力をヨーガにより上方へ転じて昇華した者—として、宇宙の大洪水における万有の溶解(プララヤ)に至るまで安住した。
