Vibhrāja-vana
मुच्यते सर्वपापेभ्यश्शिवनामानुकीर्तनात् । उच्चार्यमाण एतस्मिन्देवदेवस्य तस्य वै
mucyate sarvapāpebhyaśśivanāmānukīrtanāt | uccāryamāṇa etasmindevadevasya tasya vai
シヴァの御名を繰り返し讃え唱えることにより、あらゆる罪より解き放たれる。まことに、 देवदेव(神々の神)たる御方のこの御名が発せられるとき、清浄と解脱が授けられる。

It teaches that Shiva-nāma is a direct purifier: sincere repetition and praise of Shiva’s Name dissolves pāpa (sin/impurity) and turns the mind toward Pati (Shiva), enabling liberation-oriented devotion.
Nāma-japa supports Saguna upāsanā: chanting Shiva’s Name is a simple, accessible form of worship that can accompany Linga-pūjā, focusing the devotee on Shiva as Devadeva and making the ritual inwardly transformative.
Regular Shiva-nāma-japa—especially the Panchākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—as daily practice, and intensified chanting during auspicious times like Mahāśivarātri for purification and steadiness of devotion.
