ब्रह्मा च बहुवारं हि मोहितश्शिवमायया । अभवद्भोक्तुकामश्च स्वसुतायां परासु च
brahmā ca bahuvāraṃ hi mohitaśśivamāyayā | abhavadbhoktukāmaśca svasutāyāṃ parāsu ca
実に、ブラフマーはシヴァのマーヤーによって何度も惑わされ、自らの娘や他の女たちに対しても享楽の欲求を抱くようになった。
Suta Goswami (narrating the Purana account to the sages, with the verse describing Brahma’s state under Shiva’s Maya)
Tattva Level: pasha
Shiva Form: Īśāna
It teaches that even exalted cosmic beings can fall under bondage (pāśa) through delusion and desire; only Śiva as Pati is truly independent, and liberation requires overcoming moha (bewilderment) and kāma (craving).
It underscores the need to seek refuge in Saguna Śiva (as worshipped in the Liṅga) whose grace removes māyā and purifies desire; devotion reorients the mind from enjoyment to surrender and inward freedom.
Practice japa of the Pañcākṣarī mantra (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with sense-restraint and daily Tripuṇḍra/bhasma remembrance, cultivating vairāgya so desire does not become a binding pāśa.
