マヌの子ヌリガは、とりわけ大施主として名高かった。深い信愛と喜びをもって、彼は婆羅門たちに種々の財宝を快く施し、また牛をも布施した。

Offering: naivedya
It establishes Nṛga as a model of dharmic giving—wealth offered with sincere devotion purifies the heart and supports the path toward Shiva’s grace, when aligned with right intention and righteousness.
In Shaiva practice, outward acts like dāna and go-dāna become supportive limbs of Saguna Shiva worship when performed as an offering to Shiva’s order (dharma), preparing the devotee for deeper devotion to the Linga and inner purification.
The verse highlights dāna—especially go-dāna and honoring Brahmins—as a practical dharmic observance; it can be paired with simple Shiva-bhakti such as repeating the Panchakshara mantra (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) while dedicating the merit to Lord Shiva.
