Cosmogony and the Roles of the Trimūrti

Suta Goswami (narrating to the sages of Naimisharanya)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Dakṣiṇāmūrti
It concludes the Ādisarga narration by teaching that understanding Shiva’s cosmic order is not mere mythology—it refines one’s worldview and supports the soul’s progress toward its chosen gati, including liberation (moksha).
By grounding devotion in right understanding: Saguna Shiva (as Lord and cause of cosmic functions) is approached with clearer faith when creation is understood as ordered under Pati (Shiva), rather than as random or independent of divine lordship.
Śravaṇa and manana—listening to and contemplating the Purana’s teaching—are implied as a practice; this can be paired with japa of “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” to internalize the truth of Shiva as Pati and attain one’s spiritual aim.
