It teaches that niḥśreyasa (the highest good—moksha) is approached through bhakti expressed as śravaṇa: devoted listening to Shaiva Purāṇic discourse, which purifies the pashu (bound soul) and turns awareness toward Pati (Śiva).
Shaiva kathā typically describes Śiva’s saguna grace—His līlā, names, forms, and the Linga’s sanctity—so listening with devotion strengthens personal worship and devotion, which then matures toward realization of Śiva as the supreme reality.
Regular śravaṇa of Shiva Purana kathā with bhakti—ideally alongside simple supports like japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and a sattvic, reverent listening discipline.
