その苦行の熱によって諸世界が焼かれているのを—雲に覆われた天空のように—見て、宇宙の創造者は驚嘆し、やわらかな微笑みをたたえて語った。

Cosmic Event: worlds ‘scorched’ by tapas—cosmic overheating akin to imbalance of tejas
It shows that tapas (austerity) is a real spiritual force that can affect the cosmos; Shaiva Siddhanta frames such power as needing alignment with Pati (Śiva) so it becomes purifying and liberating rather than merely world-disturbing.
The verse implies that intense effort alone draws divine attention, but fulfillment and right direction come through divine governance—classically expressed in Linga worship where the devotee’s discipline is offered to Saguna Śiva for grace and inner transformation.
Practice restrained tapas supported by japa of the Panchākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and steady daily worship (with bhasma/tripuṇḍra and rudrākṣa if practiced), so the heat of effort becomes a focused, sattvic sādhanā.
