重く砕くような拳の一撃一撃で、彼は檻を打ち破った。さらに、恐るべき蛇の姿をした矢を灰と化し、その力を失わせた。
Sūta Gosvāmin (narrating to the sages of Naimiṣāraṇya)
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Bhairava
The verse depicts the Lord breaking confinement and turning fearsome, delusion-producing forces into ash—symbolizing how Shiva, as Pati (the Lord), destroys pāśa (bondage) and neutralizes terror at its root.
It highlights Saguna Shiva’s protective, active grace: the same Lord worshipped in the Liṅga is the one who intervenes in the world to dissolve hostile forces, guiding devotees from fear toward steadiness in devotion.
Contemplate bhasma as the sign of impermanence and inner purification (Tripuṇḍra with reverence), and steady the mind in Shiva-remembrance—such as japa of the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—to ‘ash’ fear and negativity.
