Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Significance: General phala-śruti style promise: prosperity, vigor, right knowledge, and happiness as fruits of Śiva’s grace and/or the associated vidyā.
Role: nurturing
The verse affirms that Shiva’s grace leads not only to outer well-being (fortune and happiness) but also to inner refinement—vidyā understood as right, dharmic knowledge that supports liberation-oriented living.
In the Shiva Purana, Saguna Shiva worship (especially Linga worship) is repeatedly praised for generating auspiciousness (saubhāgya) and steadying the mind toward right knowledge (vidyā), showing that devotion yields both worldly harmony and spiritual clarity.
A practical takeaway is regular Shiva-upāsanā—Linga abhiṣeka with mantra-japa (such as the Pañcākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”)—as a discipline that cultivates auspiciousness, strength, and a knowledge-guided life.
