आकाशरूपबहिरंतरुतावकाशदानाद्विकस्वरमिहेश्वर विश्वमेतत् । त्वत्तस्सदा सदय संश्वसिति स्वभावात्संकोचमेति भक्तोऽस्मि नतस्ततस्त्वाम्
ākāśarūpabahiraṃtarutāvakāśadānādvikasvaramiheśvara viśvametat | tvattassadā sadaya saṃśvasiti svabhāvātsaṃkocameti bhakto'smi natastatastvām
おおイーシュヴァラよ、あなたは内にも外にも遍満する虚空そのものであり、あらゆる存在に場を与えるがゆえに、この全宇宙は広がり輝き現れる。あなたのみより、慈悲深き御方よ、それは本性のままに絶えず息づき、そしてあなたのうちへ再び収斂する。ゆえに私はあなたの信徒、幾度もあなたに礼拝する。

Cosmic Event: Cosmic expansion and contraction (sṛṣṭi/saṃhāra) presented as rhythmic dependence on Īśvara.
It praises Shiva as Pati (the Lord) who provides the very ‘space’ for existence, from whom the universe arises, by whom it is sustained, and into whom it withdraws—prompting humble surrender (bhakti) as the right response to the cosmic truth.
Though describing Shiva’s all-pervading, subtle reality (like space), the verse naturally supports Saguna worship such as the Shiva Linga: the Linga is the accessible focus through which devotees bow to the same all-encompassing Īśvara who sustains and reabsorbs the world.
Repeated namaskāra (prostration) with contemplative meditation on Shiva as the inner/outer support of all beings—ideally accompanied by japa of the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” to cultivate surrender and steadiness.
