शिवदूतेन युद्धनिश्चयः तथा देवदानवयुद्धारम्भः (Śiva’s Envoy and the Commencement of the Deva–Dānava War)
अन्योन्यमभिसंसृत्य युयुधुर्द्वन्द्वयोधिनः । आह्वयंतो विशंतोऽग्रे क्षिपंतो मर्मभिर्मिथः
anyonyamabhisaṃsṛtya yuyudhurdvandvayodhinaḥ | āhvayaṃto viśaṃto'gre kṣipaṃto marmabhirmithaḥ
互いに迫り合い、対となる勇士たちは一騎討ちを繰り広げた—声高に挑み合い、前列へ踏み込み、急所を狙って幾度も打ち合った。
