It highlights disciplined approach (maryādā) and humility before the Lord: access to Shiva is gained not by force but by truthful reporting, obedience, and readiness to follow the ordained path.
In Saguna worship, Shiva is approached through proper protocol—devotion expressed as reverence, truthful speech, and compliance with sacred instruction—mirroring how devotees approach the Linga via prescribed rites and temple order.
The implied practice is disciplined conduct: approach Shiva after inner preparation—truthfulness, restraint, and following guru/śāstra injunctions—akin to entering worship after purifying oneself and beginning japa of the Panchākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya).
