शङ्खचूडवधकथनम् / The Account of Śaṅkhacūḍa’s Slaying
यत्र देवादिनिखिलं चराचरमभूज्जगत् । विस्तरात्तत्प्रवक्तुं च कः क्षमोऽस्ति त्रिलोकके
yatra devādinikhilaṃ carācaramabhūjjagat | vistarāttatpravaktuṃ ca kaḥ kṣamo'sti trilokake
彼(あるいは彼処)において、神々をはじめ、動くもの・動かぬもの一切を含む全宇宙が成り立った。三界のうち、誰がそれを余すところなく詳説し得ようか。

Sthala Purana: The verse is a metaphysical aside: the cosmos (cara-acara) arises ‘in/within That’; it does not localize Śiva to a specific jyotirliṅga site.
Significance: Contemplation of Śiva as the immanent-transcendent ground of all beings is itself framed as a bhakti- and jñāna-enhancing ‘inner pilgrimage’.
Role: creative
The verse points to Shiva (Pati) as the ground of all existence—devas, beings, and the entire moving–unmoving cosmos—emphasizing His infinitude and the limits of speech and mind in grasping Him fully.
By declaring the Supreme as beyond complete description, the Purana supports Saguna worship (such as the Shiva Linga) as a compassionate, accessible focus for devotion—an embodied sign through which devotees approach the ultimately immeasurable Reality.
A practical takeaway is japa of the Panchakshara mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” with humble bhakti, contemplating Shiva as the source and support of all beings, since intellectual narration alone cannot exhaust His greatness.
