देवस्तुतिः (Devastuti) — Hymn/Praise of the Devas
धर्मस्त्वं सर्वबंधूनामाश्रमाणां परो भवान् । मोक्षस्त्वं सर्ववर्णेषु रुद्राणां नीललोहितः
dharmastvaṃ sarvabaṃdhūnāmāśramāṇāṃ paro bhavān | mokṣastvaṃ sarvavarṇeṣu rudrāṇāṃ nīlalohitaḥ
Suta Goswami (narrating the praise addressed to Lord Shiva in the Yuddhakhaṇḍa context)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Rudra
Significance: Frames Śiva as both dharma (right order) and mokṣa (liberation), implying that pilgrimage/śiva-darśana culminates in right living and release rather than mere merit.
Type: stotra
Offering: pushpa
It declares Śiva as both the upholder of Dharma (right order for all life-stages) and the very bestower of Moksha, affirming him as Pati—the supreme Lord who governs worldly duty and grants liberation.
By naming Śiva as Nīlalohita and as the living source of Dharma and Moksha, it supports Saguna worship—devotion to Śiva’s manifest form (including the Liṅga) as the accessible focus through which grace and liberation are obtained.
Contemplate Śiva as the inner Dharma and the giver of Moksha while doing japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”); optionally wear rudrākṣa and apply tripuṇḍra-bhasma as Shaiva markers of surrender and discipline.
