नारदस्य विष्णूपदेशवर्णनम् — Nārada and Viṣṇu: Instruction after Delusion
नारद उवाच । हे हरे त्वं महादुष्टः कपटी विश्वमोहनः । परोत्साहं न सहसे मायावी मलिनाशयः
nārada uvāca | he hare tvaṃ mahāduṣṭaḥ kapaṭī viśvamohanaḥ | parotsāhaṃ na sahase māyāvī malināśayaḥ
ナーラダは言った。「おおハリよ、汝は甚だ邪悪にして、狡猾なる欺き手、世を惑わす者。他者の奮起と卓越を耐え得ず、マーヤー(māyā)を操る者、心の意図は不浄である。」
Narada
Tattva Level: pasha
The verse highlights how māyā and inner impurity can manifest as intolerance toward others’ spiritual progress; Shaiva teaching urges purification of intention and devotion to Pati (Śiva) beyond rivalry and delusion.
By exposing the faults of delusion and competitiveness, the text indirectly points to steady Saguna Śiva-bhakti—Linga worship that purifies the heart (āśaya) and stabilizes the mind against māyā.
A practical takeaway is japa with the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) along with inner śuddhi (purifying intention); if following Shiva Purana norms, support it with Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and Rudrākṣa as aids to steadiness and humility.
