「主よ、あなたに対して罪過を生じた者にとって、帰依処はただあなたのみ。」かく語り、なお多くの言葉をもって、しかるべき作法に従い、正しく幾度も謙って祈願した。
Sūta Gosvāmin (narrating the episode in Rudra Saṃhitā to the sages)
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Mantra: त्वयि जातापराधानां त्वमेव शरणं प्रभो ।
Type: stotra
It teaches śaraṇāgati: even when one has committed offences toward Shiva, liberation begins by admitting fault and taking refuge in Pati (Shiva) alone, trusting His grace to remove pāśa (bondage).
The verse emphasizes approaching the Lord as accessible Saguna Shiva—seeking protection and pardon through heartfelt supplication—often expressed in Linga-worship with prayers, offerings, and confession before the deity.
Combine proper vidhi with devotion: offer water and bilva to Shiva, recite the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” and perform sincere repentance-prayer (vijñapti) as a daily practice.
