かくして『シュリー・シヴァ・マハープラーナ』において、第二部「ルドラ・サンヒター」の第一カンダ、創造の物語の中に、「聖仙たちの問いの叙述」と題する第一章がここに始まる。
Sūta Gosvāmin (narrative framework addressing the sages of Naimiṣāraṇya)
This is a colophon-style verse that establishes the sacred textual setting: the Rudra Saṃhitā’s Sṛṣṭi Khaṇḍa begins with the sages’ questions, showing that dharma and liberation are approached through inquiry, listening (śravaṇa), and transmission within a Shaiva scriptural lineage.
While it does not describe a ritual directly, it frames the section where creation and Shiva’s lordship are explained—context that later supports Saguna worship (including Linga devotion) as an accessible means for devotees to approach the supreme Pati (Lord) who governs creation and grace.
The implied practice is scriptural listening and contemplation: hear the Purāṇa attentively, reflect on the sages’ questions, and cultivate devotion to Shiva—often complemented in Shaiva practice by japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) as the narrative unfolds.
