कामशापानुग्रहः (Kāmaśāpānugraha) — “The Curse and Grace Concerning Kāma”
इति वेधास्त्वहं काममक्षयं द्विजसत्तम । समक्षं पितृसंघस्य मुनीनां च यतात्मनाम्
iti vedhāstvahaṃ kāmamakṣayaṃ dvijasattama | samakṣaṃ pitṛsaṃghasya munīnāṃ ca yatātmanām
「かくして、最勝のバラモンよ。われヴェーダ(Vedhā、梵天)は、祖霊ピトリの群れと自制の牟尼たちの面前において、この失われぬ恩寵を授ける。」
Brahma (Vedhā)
Tattva Level: pashu
The verse emphasizes that a boon becomes spiritually weighty when granted in a sanctified assembly—before Pitṛs and self-controlled sages—showing dharmic accountability and the power of tapas-backed witness.
Though the verse itself is about Brahmā granting a boon, the Shiva Purana’s Shaiva frame treats all rightful boons and cosmic functions as operating under Shiva’s higher sovereignty; such public, dharmic sanction supports Saguna devotion where vows, worship, and grace unfold within cosmic order.
It suggests making vows and prayers in a disciplined, witness-bearing manner—supported by self-restraint (yata-ātman) and remembrance of ancestors; in Shaiva practice this aligns with sankalpa before worship, japa of the Panchakshara, and offerings done with purity and accountability.
