सतीकृतप्रार्थना तथा परतत्त्वजिज्ञासा — Satī’s Prayer and Inquiry into the Supreme Principle
किं बहूक्तेन देवेशि भक्त्याधीनस्सदा ह्यहम् । तत्कर्तुं पुरुषस्यातिवशगो नात्र संशयः
kiṃ bahūktena deveśi bhaktyādhīnassadā hyaham | tatkartuṃ puruṣasyātivaśago nātra saṃśayaḥ
多くを語る必要があろうか、女神の主よ。われは常にバクティに依り従う。彼の望みを成就するため、われは帰依の魂の力に全く支配されている—疑いはない。
Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Sthala Purana: Not tied to a specific Jyotirliṅga; it is a doctrinal summation: Śiva is ‘bhakty-ādhīna’—freely granting grace in response to devotion.
Significance: Core upadeśa for pilgrims: cultivate bhakti and śaraṇāgati; grace (anugraha) becomes accessible regardless of status.
Type: stotra
Shakti Form: Satī
Role: teaching
The verse teaches that Shiva, the supreme Pati, willingly becomes accessible through bhakti; loving devotion is presented as the most effective spiritual power, surpassing mere eloquence or ritual complexity.
In Saguna worship—such as Linga-pūjā—Shiva responds to sincere devotion. The verse supports the Purāṇic theme that offerings, mantra, and worship bear fruit primarily when infused with heartfelt bhakti.
Practice simple, steady bhakti: japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with inner surrender, and offer Linga worship with humility—valuing devotion over elaborate speech.
