The verse highlights humility and kripā (divine grace): even Brahmā approaches the Goddess as the omniscient Shakti and speaks only in alignment with her command, emphasizing that right knowledge and narration must be guided by divine sanction.
By addressing Maheśānī (Śiva’s Shakti), the verse reflects Saguna devotion: worship and understanding of Śiva (including Linga worship) is traditionally approached through reverence to Śiva along with Śakti, acknowledging their inseparable unity in practice and story.
The practical takeaway is śravaṇa (reverent listening) and submission to divine guidance—begin spiritual study or japa with a prayer for grace (kripā) and right intention (manoratha), then proceed with disciplined recitation such as the Panchakshara mantra, "Om Namaḥ Śivāya."
