It uses a nature-analogy to show that the heart naturally forms “special attachment” to what is truly excellent; in Shaiva Siddhanta this points to directing one’s saṅga toward Pati (Shiva) rather than transient worldly sweetness.
Just as bees choose the nectar-rich blossoms, devotees are taught to choose Saguna Shiva—especially the Linga as an accessible focus—so the mind gathers repeatedly at one sacred support and matures into steady devotion.
Practice single-pointed japa of the Panchakshara (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with regular Linga-darśana/abhisheka, returning the mind again and again to Shiva like bees returning to nectar.
