呼ばれたなら家の務めを捨てて、ただちにその尊き人のもとへ赴くべきである。速やかに合掌し、愛敬の信をもって丁重に礼拝してから、しかるべく言葉を述べよ。
Suta Goswami (narrating the conduct and devotional etiquette in the Parvati Khanda)
Tattva Level: pashu
It teaches Shaiva ācāra: promptness, humility, and loving reverence. Such disciplined conduct purifies the pashu (individual soul) and prepares it for Shiva-bhakti and grace.
Approaching Saguna Shiva (in Linga worship, temple, or any sacred presence) is done with śraddhā—leaving distractions, offering añjali, bowing, and then praying or speaking; the same reverent protocol applies to Shiva’s symbols and devotees.
Practice añjali and praṇāma before japa or pūjā—especially before repeating the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya)—and cultivate mindful, respectful speech after bowing.
