महान्पतिव्रताधर्म्मश्श्रुतिस्मृतिषु नोदितः । यथैष वर्ण्यते श्रेष्ठो न तथान्योऽस्ति निश्चितम्
mahānpativratādharmmaśśrutismṛtiṣu noditaḥ | yathaiṣa varṇyate śreṣṭho na tathānyo'sti niścitam
この偉大なるパティヴラターの法(夫への聖なる貞節)は、シュルティとスムリティにおいて同様の仕方では命じられていない。ここで最上と讃えられるとおり、これに等しい他の法は確かに存在しない。

It elevates steadfast devotion (niṣṭhā) as a supreme dharma, presenting Pārvatī’s faithful love as a form of bhakti that aligns the soul (paśu) toward the Lord (Pati), leading to inner purity and grace.
In the Pārvatīkhaṇḍa, ideal devotion is oriented toward Śiva as the personal Lord (saguṇa Śiva). Such unwavering loyalty mirrors single-pointed worship of the Liṅga—exclusive refuge in Śiva as the highest beloved and protector.
The takeaway is ekāgratā (one-pointedness): daily Śiva-pūjā with the Pañcākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” performed with fidelity and constancy like a vow, is the implied practice.
