The verse highlights the Shaiva ideal of humility and devotion: hearing sacred instruction, one responds with pranama (surrender), pradakshina (recognizing Shiva as the spiritual center), and stuti (praise), expressing the soul’s dependence on Pati (Lord Shiva).
Circumambulation and praise are classic forms of Saguna worship, commonly performed around the Shiva-linga; the verse reflects outward devotional acts that embody inner reverence and alignment with Shiva’s all-pervading presence (vibhu).
A clear takeaway is pradakshina with stotra: after mantra-japa (such as the Panchakshara), offer namaskara, circumambulate with focused remembrance of Shiva, and maintain a respectful, service-oriented attitude (upasana/seva).
