तथा शिवस्य पृष्ठे च पार्श्वयोस्तु विराजितान् । देवादीन्प्रणनामासौ दृष्ट्वा गिरिवरेश्वरः
tathā śivasya pṛṣṭhe ca pārśvayostu virājitān | devādīnpraṇanāmāsau dṛṣṭvā girivareśvaraḥ
そのとき、シヴァの背後と左右に、神々ならびに諸天の者たちが燦然と立ち並ぶのを見て、最勝の山の主(ヒマーラヤ)は、深き敬虔をもって彼らに礼拝し、頭を垂れた。

It teaches that true devotion includes humility: even Himālaya, honored among mountains, bows when he beholds Śiva’s divine retinue—recognizing Śiva as Pati (the Supreme Lord) and the devas as His sanctioned powers and attendants.
The scene emphasizes Saguna Śiva—Śiva manifest with divine presence and attendants. In Linga-worship too, devotees honor Śiva as the center while respectfully acknowledging His gaṇas and the devas as part of His cosmic order, never independent of Him.
Practice praṇāma (reverential bowing) before beginning Śiva-pūjā—mentally offering salutations to Śiva first, and then to His divine attendants—cultivating humility and bhakti as the foundation for mantra-japa such as “Om Namaḥ Śivāya.”
