A maṇḍapa is traditionally the prepared setting for Saguna worship—ritual, mantra, and offerings to the Liṅga. The narrative implies that devotion expresses itself by creating a fitting, pure environment for Shiva’s manifest presence.
Prepare a clean worship space (maṇḍapa), install the Liṅga or Shiva image, and perform japa of the Pañcākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” ideally with bhasma (Tripuṇḍra) and rudrākṣa as supports for steadiness and remembrance.
